LIASA S.A. has documented, implemented, and certified the FSC Chain of Custody (Forest Stewardship Council), certificate SGSCH-COC-060475, valid from 04/06/2020 to 03/06/2025, and license number FSC C157581.
Purchase of FSC MIX and FSC Recycled paper and thread for the manufacture and sale of ribbons, cords, and paper thread FSC MIX and FSC Recycled, through the transfer system. Possible subcontracting for thread dyeing.
Marketing of FSC MIX or FSC Recycled paper thread, ribbons, and/or cords.
LIASA S.A. is committed to complying with the current FSC® Chain of Custody standards and FSC values as defined in policy FSC-POL-01-004:
- Illegal logging or trade of illegal timber or forest products.
- Violation of traditional and human rights in forestry operations.
- Destruction of high conservation values in forestry operations.
- Significant conversion of forests to plantations or other uses.
- Introduction of genetically modified organisms in forestry operations.
- Violation of any of the fundamental ILO conventions, as defined in the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work (1998).
In applying the fundamental labour requirements of FSC®, LIASA duly considers national legislation and, at the same time, meets the objectives of the requirements:
- Does not use child labour
- Eliminates all forms of forced or compulsory labour
- Ensures no discrimination in employment and occupation
- Respects freedom of association and the effective right to collective bargaining
