LIASA joins URV to train future leaders in engineering and sustainability

Last Friday, 20th October, LIASA had the pleasure of collaborating with the School of Chemical Engineering (URV) in an educational session where our CEO, Jaime Cabré, delivered a practical and insightful class at the Sescelades Campus. Approximately 40 students attended, part of the Management and Business Administration course within the master’s programs in Chemical Engineering and Environmental Engineering and Energy Sustainability at the Higher Technical School of Chemical Engineering at URV.

Jaime Cabré, in an engaging and professional manner, presented the core elements of business management, beginning with strategic values such as LIASA’s mission, vision, and guiding principles. He further delved into operational topics, emphasising the importance of efficient daily management and the collaborative efforts of teams and departments to achieve shared goals and address current industry challenges.

Jaime also shared practical advice for students’ professional development, encouraging them to cultivate critical skills and an integrated business perspective. These recommendations were well received by students, who appreciated the chance to learn directly from a professional about the real-world challenges of leading an organisation.

Special thanks to Irene Borràs for her support in making this event possible. At LIASA, we are committed to practical education and strengthening the bond between academia and business. Initiatives like this enable students to gain real-world insights, facilitating their transition to the workforce and contributing to the development of future leaders in engineering and sustainability.
