At LIASA we are committed to the planet and we continue to expand our offer of cords and ribbons made with ecological materials every day. That is why we have recently started to manufacture all kinds of products in recycled polyester from plastic bottles (GRS), with the aim of contributing to sustainable consumption and a circular economy. This recycled polyester yarn can be used for the production of all kinds of products, such as braided cords, elastic cords or ribbons.
The recycled polyester yarn used in our products is certified by the Global Recycled Standard (GRS), a voluntary product standard that tracks and verifies the content of recycled materials in a final product. The standard applies throughout the supply chain and addresses traceability, environmental principles, social requirements, chemical content, and product labeling. GRS covers the processing, manufacturing, packaging, labeling, marketing and distribution of all products made with a minimum of 20% recycled material.
